The cerrado is a vegetation type that makes up the Brazilian phytogeography and that gives the condition of second largest vegetation cover of country (occupies 24% of the country), surpassed only by the Amazon rainforest.
We find it in eleven states in Brazil and also in the Federal District and is regarded as the cradle of the country's waters.
However, its surface diminished greatly over the years (because of human intervention).
the characteristics of the cerrado vegetation, are comparable with the African savannas, trailing vegetation predominantly with medium sized trees and crooked. cerrado flowers are very beautiful, there are over 10,750 species of plants, most have some sort of flower! XD
